The short version
- Your notes are yours. Export all of them at any time, in one click.
- If your account ends, we email you the exact date your data will be deleted, and you can still sign in to download it until that moment.
- We do not sell your data or train AI models on your notes.
- We can suspend or close an account. We tell you when we do, and we tell you what happens next.
The rest of this page is the detail behind those four points.
Using the service
You must be at least 16 years old to use this service.
You are responsible for everything you upload into this service and for keeping your password to yourself. You are not permitted to use the service to store or distribute anything unlawful, and you are not allowed to access another account's data.
Your notes remain yours. Nothing in these terms gives us ownership of what you write or import. We store it so we can show it back to you, and we process it only to perform an operation you asked for.
What you pay for, and how
Payments are taken by Marketing Tools Center, the company behind this service. That is the name on Stripe's payment page and on your receipts. On your card statement, the charge shows a short name for the service you subscribed to. We never see or store your card details. Those are maintained by the payment processor.
Subscriptions renew automatically. A plan is billed monthly or yearly, and it renews at the end of each period until you cancel it.
Your price stays with your subscription. Nothing in the app changes the price of a subscription you already have, and switching plans is not offered, so the rate you signed up at, a founding rate included, is the rate you pay for as long as that subscription continues. A failed payment does not end your subscription, so paying the missed invoice keeps your price. A subscription that has ended cannot be restarted, so canceling gives up that rate once the subscription ends.
You can cancel from inside the app. Open Profile, and choose Manage billing under Billing. Canceling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and until then you can undo it and keep your price. When that period ends, your account is canceled, as described below.
Refunds: 30 days, no questions asked. Ask within 30 days of a charge and we refund that charge in full. A full refund ends your access the way a cancellation does. The details are in our refund policy.
AI is included, up to a monthly allowance. Unless you add your own AI key, the AI that organizes your notes runs on ours, and each account has a monthly allowance of it, measured by what each AI step costs at OpenRouter's published prices. Profile shows how much of this month's allowance you have used, as a percentage. The month is a calendar month in UTC, and it starts again at midnight UTC on the 1st. An AI step starts only if its largest possible cost still fits in what is left of the month, so a large step, such as a merge draft, can be turned down before the allowance is fully used. Every step that starts counts toward the allowance, including one that fails. When a step does not fit, imports still save every note; what could not be organized can be organized again once the month starts over. To carry on sooner, add your own OpenRouter key in Profile. AI run with your own key is billed to you by OpenRouter and does not count toward the allowance.
Storage is capped per plan, and the cap is enforced. Reaching it stops further uploads; it never deletes anything you have already stored.
Getting your data out
You can export everything, at any time. Your export arrives as a single zip file containing your notes in both Markdown and JSON, every category you have created, and every original file you imported. Nothing is held back.
A generated export link expires after 24 hours. Generate another whenever you need one — there is no limit on how many times you may do this.
We keep one archive at a time. Starting a new export replaces the previous one, and the previous download link stops working immediately. We email you once the replacement is ready and tell you the date and time it expires. That email does not contain the file or a link to it; collecting it takes the same sign-in everything else does.
If your account is suspended or closed
There are four ways an account can stop working normally. Two of them delete your data and two of them do not, so they are worth telling apart.
| What happened | What it means for your data |
|---|---|
| A payment failed | Everything keeps working for 14 days. We email you the day it fails, 7 days later and 12 days later, and each email names the date your account will pause. If it is still unpaid after that date, your account is paused. Nothing is deleted while payment is late, and access resumes on its own once a payment succeeds. |
| Canceled, or fully refunded | Your stored data is deleted 30 days later. |
| Closed by an administrator | Your stored data is deleted 30 days later. |
| Suspended by an administrator | A hold, not an ending. Nothing is scheduled for deletion, and your data stays where it is until the suspension is lifted or the account is closed. |
We tell you, by email, when your account is paused, canceled, closed, or suspended. For a cancellation or a closure, that email will contain the date your data will be deleted and gives you a URL to visit before that date so you can export your notes. The email is sent to you regardless of how it was triggered. A pause or a suspension deletes nothing, and its email says so.
You can still sign in to collect your data until that expiration date and time occurs. The rest of the application is closed to you, but export and account deletion remain available, because getting your own notes out is not a privilege that should end with your subscription.
We will not email you your files; you need to log in to retrieve them.
After 30 days the deletion is final. Your notes, files, categories and imports are removed, not hidden behind a flag. We cannot recover them afterward, even if you ask us to. Records of your payments — who paid, what and when — are kept by our payment processor for as long as tax and accounting law requires, at least three years. They are not deleted with your account.
Deleting your own account
You can delete your account yourself, from the Profile page, without asking anyone. It requires your current password, it takes effect immediately rather than after any waiting period, and it is not reversible.
Artificial intelligence
Note text is sent to a model provider only when you run an operation that needs it — categorizing, suggesting tags, or drafting a merge. Nothing happens automatically to notes you have not asked us to process.
Requests are routed only to providers operating under no-training terms with zero or short retention, so your notes are not used to train anybody's model. Routing happens on our servers, and providers do not receive your identity.
AI output is a suggestion, not a result. Every category, tag and merge is proposed and waits for you to approve or reject it. We do not guarantee that a suggestion is correct, and you should read a proposed merge before accepting it.
Support access
If you ask for help from our support team, you can grant temporary access from within your account for a period you choose. It is off by default until you switch it on, and you can revoke it at any time. It expires on its own, and both the start and the end of every support session are written to the audit log.
You will want to contact our support team prior to doing this, as just giving access does not alert anyone.
What we do not promise
We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not offer a guaranteed uptime level. This is a small operation and we would rather say that plainly than imply otherwise.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Export exists and it is one click. We take backups and we take care, but no service should be the only place your work lives.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially we will say so in the service or by email before the change takes effect.
What we have not checked
A lawyer has not reviewed this page.
Everything above describes what the software actually does, and you can hold us to all of it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, in the United States. You may have other rights based on the laws where you live.
